About the event
Mozart's first full mass - Missa Brevis in G KV 49.
The opera choruses include Rossini, Villagers chorus (Guillaume Tell) in French. Bizet, Habanera (Carmen) in French, Handel, Enchanted Islanders (Alcina) in French. Puccini, Humming chorus (Madama Butterfly) in Italian. Verdi, Anvil chorus (Il Trovatore) and Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves (Nabucco) in Italian. Hazel and Julie will sing Dido's Lament, the aria "When I am laid in earth" from the opera Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell. Our accompianist Carol Galton will play ‘AIR’ FROM PIANO SUITE by Helen Hopekirk'.
