Welcome to our website!
Dunsford Singers 'A Teign Valley Choir' are a community choir with members drawn from The Teign Valley area near Exeter in sunny Devon
Here at the Dunsford Singers, we are driven by a single goal: to sing beautiful, challenging choral music in a spirit of friendship. Our musical director is Tim Pithers, a very accomplished conductor and an inspiration. The score may be Vivaldi's Gloria or Fleet Foxes' White Winter Hymnal. Whatever it may be we'll give it our best!

Our SATB non-auditioned choir rehearsals take place here in Dunsford Village Hall at 7.30 on Monday with our musical director Tim Pithers
We are a friendly and welcoming choir incorporating a wide range of ages and abilities. Membership is open to everyone with an interest in choral singing. New members are always welcome but if you are a tenor or bass, we would be particularly pleased to see you. We are a non-auditioned choir but we do expect regular attendance at rehearsals. So do come along to one or two rehearsals at the start of the term to try us out.
Our members are mainly drawn from The Teign Valley near Exeter and the surrounding parishes. There are currently around fifty members and our repertoire runs from the baroque and classical periods to the present day. We perform two programmes a year, presenting each twice in different venues, one programme in June and one in December - our Christmassy, 'Sing Noel' winter concert.
The choir was formed over a quarter of a century ago, out of a W.I. initiative. Over the years the Dunsford Singers have become an established part of life in the village. We try to create concerts of high repute, offering a wide and varied repertoire. Where possible we like to offer our own talented singers the chance to perform a solo or two. It comes as no surprise that singing is now officially recognised as an important health benefit! It improves your heart rate, helps your lung capacity and releases feel-good endorphins. It makes you think about posture; helps to build confidence and self-esteem, and even helps you sleep more soundly!
